FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We repair reclining chairs, power recliners, manual and electric sofas, adjustable headrests, footrests, sleeper sofa mechanisms, massage chair components, and other moving parts in leather and upholstered furniture.

  • Yes. We work with both manual reclining mechanisms and electric power systems including motors, switches, wiring, and control units.

  • No. We come to you — at your home, office, or any convenient location in Chicago and the northern suburbs. Heavy furniture stays exactly where it is.

  • Yes. A stuck or jammed recliner is one of the most common issues we handle. In most cases it can be repaired on-site in a single visit.

  • Yes. Uneven movement, grinding noises, or slow response are usually caused by worn parts, loose connections, or lubrication issues — all of which we can diagnose and fix on-site.

  • We carry the most common replacement parts for standard mechanisms. For rare or specialty parts we will source them and schedule a follow-up visit.

  • In most cases repair is significantly cheaper than replacement — especially for quality leather furniture. If the leather and padding are still in good condition, fixing the mechanism gives you a fully functional piece at a fraction of the cost.

  • Most repairs are completed on-site in 1–3 hours. Complex electric systems or cases requiring parts may take longer or need a second visit.

  • Yes. If the leather was damaged as a result of the mechanical issue we can repair or restore it in the same visit. We offer a full service — mechanism and leather in one appointment.

  • Send us a photo or short video of the issue via the form or WhatsApp. We'll assess the problem and give you a free estimate within 2 hours.
